'50s and '60s slide show

We're visiting with Stephen's brother Peter's and nephew Jim's families in Fayetteville, Gawgia. It's been lovely - wonderful food, good comp'ny, naps when needed.

Stephen and I brought a box of family slides and a projector for a slide show. The subjects ranged from his parents' purchase of a new car (they drove home two to try them out, a '59 two tone Impala 4-dr sedan, and a '59 blue Kingswood wagon) to proms to Christmas with grandparents. 

We had a blast trying to name relatives, friends and neighbors and cars long since gone. "Who's THAT?" was a recurring question. We were also amazed at how Barb and Witt's furniture was in their family such a long time, and has found new places of honor in our own homes.

I've decided it is true that personality is at least partially genetic. It's funny to see how the boys' personalities show in their facial expressions or how they stand, even from a very young age. Joe rarely smiled for photos and usually looked rather cool. Bill is almost always smiling and glad to be in the photo. Stephen looks quiet! And Peter looks happy, generally pleased with the world.

I took photos of the screen as some really great shots came up.

This is Stephen's mom and his older brother, Bill, who is 11. Barb looks fabulous.
