- a teeny gray lego block (Corey's)
- pony beads (Cait's)
- a piece of star confetti (Cait's)
- needles embedded in the carpet (Stephen found all these)
- strands of the previous carpet (burgundy and pink shag!)
It's been kind of sad for me, seeing the last reminders of the kids' growing-up years disappear from the walls and floors. I was painting the closet in Cait's old room and as I ran the brush along the wall under the shelf support, a streak of green appeared in the paint. Grass from an Easter basket. Sigh.
The house will look great with clean pretty colors on the walls and cushy, squeakless floors. But I'll miss all the little reminders of childhood in this old house.
